THRASH BOMBZ - MISSION OF BLOOD (Iron Shield Records/Pure Steel Records)

From out of the ashes, a band called Necrosis Thrash Bombz was born. I suppose I don’t need to spend too much words about the genre these guys are playing, a quick look to the band’s name, band’s logo and the front cover says it all. Anyway these lads are from out of Sicilia, Italy, the place to be if you want to be part of the mob. I suppose these guys aren’t Mafiosi, they’re only representing their very first full album.

Pure Steel Records keeps on supporting bands that have either no label or a little label and that’s a positive thing. It gives formations like Thrash Bombz a bigger forum to get known by the crowd beyond the boundaries of their own proper country.

This album, “Mission Of Blood” contains twelve songs and 2 video’s from Metal Camp in 2013. You know Metal Camp I suppose, a week Festival in Slovenia with mostly a very nice bill.

This album is full of good old school Thrash Metal, the way youngsters and oldies amongst us will like. It’s not ‘just’ another Thrash formation that is only focused on high tempi, no Thrash Bomb tries to play recognizable tracks. And they succeed by mid tempo arrangements in a mixture with high-speed compositions. They remind me of bands like Defiance (USA) and Asphyxia (Belgium). Who remembers them? You don’t? Go look for hem if you dare to label yourself as a Thrasher!

So yes, I discovered a more than enjoyable band with this Italian bomb! No, they will not shock the scène nor will they be responsible for the next earthquake but for fanatics in this genre they will be satisfying. A pity this CD-R wasn’t from the highest quality which made it difficult to listen to. Check them out at http://thrashbombz.bandcamp.com

My Points: 82 / 100
