(Review by Officer Nice)

Finland might not be the biggest country in Europe, it has always been big in Metal. For some reason these people seems to have Metal into their veins, especially the kind of melodic Power Metal. The melodic Power Metal, call it Euro Metal, seems to be the ultimate kind of music for the few people who are living there. Did you know how many people are living in this Northern county? About five million… that’s even less than the big cities in the rest of our continent. And so many Metal? Amazing.

Anyway, I need to go back to what I am demanded to do, writing reviews about Metal records. Soulhealer isn’t a new band, as far I know this is the band’s second effort, not mentioning their EP. The music is typical for the country, ultra melodic Power Metal, some call it ‘happy happy’ Metal. Yet the bands stands for good arrangements and very good riffs and leads. This album is full of excellent Power Metal which should please the fans of this particular genre. The success of this genre has waned somewhat the last years but it might have been too popular, no? The band isn't able to hold my attention all the way but I like the way they also add some traditional Hard Rock / Metal - the old German way - into their music.

Anyway, fans of bands like Sonata Arctica, Twilight Guardian etc. can buy this one blindfolded. Http://
