I’ve told you before Metal musicians changed their looks in the late history of the genre. They even change the style of front covers and the front cover of this Broadway Killers is so damn ugly that I kept on waiting to make the review. Sorry, but this does not attract, it has even the opposite effect on me. But I’m obliged to speak about the band and a search on the Internet learns this band is heading from out of Denmark. It’s a three men band that seems to play lots of gigs. The fact they’re calling themselves a Rock band undermines my previous statement. Okay, I will shut up!

Listening to Broadway Killers I can agree they’re not a Metal band ‘pur sang’. This is indeed a Rock band, using loud and heavy guitars. They have the sound of the more alternative bands in the genre and it all sounds like straight forwarded Rock’n Roll in a blender with Grunge and Garage Rock to me. Not bad at all and I can easily understand why this band already has so many gigs on their sleeve.

This is not the band that will offer you spectacular leads nor immense overpowered drum sessions but their music talks. It’s a band the youth will easily adore and singer Jacob Thalund Albrektsen, also bass player, contains a very good voice. His vocal lines are varied and he contains a strong pairs of lungs. This is music to jump on and the song writing is strong enough to make this an exciting album. This release contains tracks that will bring you in a good mood and I’m quite sure most of this tracks would fit on the new generation of Hollywood youth movies, movies about the modern American High school youngsters. It’s hard hitting all the way and Broadway Killers easily deserves our attention. Thankfully Broadway Killers contains so much talent that they’re able to deliver a varied product. Each and every song sounds different and that makes this a good record to listen too. Add emotional loaded vocals and you will understand this ain’t at all a bad band!

If you’re into modern Rock, alternative Rock that crosses the boundaries of Metal Broadway Killers might be something for you. A bit Nirvana maybe, a bit System Of A Down and even maybe a bit Bryan Adams although this last hero won’t be too happy reading this. Anyway this is a band to keep your eyes on if you like this kind of stuff. I even believe this band may become popular with the right support although I doubt they will ever be part of the real Heavy Metal scène. Check them out at: .
