DELIRIUM TREMENS - READ MY FIST (Iron Shield Records/Pure Steel Records)

Thrashers should already know these Germans. They released their debut in the Nineties under the name “Violent mosh ground” and kept on releasing albums ever since. It gave them some kind of status in the underground Thrash Metal scène but much further than the German boundaries they didn’t actually come.

What makes this band sound so Eighties is the fact they cross musical borders, especially with Punk, Hardcore and even some Rock’n Roll sounds. Sounds like Crossover? Yes, definitely! DRI, old Suicidal Tendencies? For a big part! Tankard and other German Thrashers? For the other big part. Own ideas and creations? For a little part but fanatic Thrashers won’t mind when they will hear the newbie of this band.

This band isn’t searching for awards, that’s a fact! These guys just want to have fun and beer, sex, drugs and Rock’n Roll. This is all what Delirium Tremens is about. The harsh kind of Thrash, high tempo with everything to make a big party on stage! No doubts the crowd will sweat time after time and so I’m pretty sure this is a fantastic live band.

On CD this sounds good although I am more into the more ‘musical’ kind of Thrash. Youngsters will be astonished, old Thrashers will smile when they listen to this, reminding the old good days. As I’ve said before, pure for the fanatics but high qualitative in this specific kind of Thrash. Check
