(Review by Officer Nice)

From out of Switzerland we don’t receive that much Metal. This has always been a strange country, not fitting the rest of Europe and not following the flow. Nevertheless I like their mentality, straight and honest.

This Power Metal formation released two albums before which never made it to the big crowd. What “Damnatio Memoriae” really is I can not tell. On the biography I read there are 16 songs, on the promotion CD I read there are four tracks and my CD-player confirms the fact there are only four songs. Not that easy to write a review about a full album on which I have only a few songs available. Anyway Medusa’s Child plays modern Power Metal in a traditional European style. They add some Progressive elements to their music and melody is another brand. I hear five good musicians and especially on “The Old Men Say” you can hear some skilled musicians are at work right hear. A bit Stratovarius, a bit Gamma Ray and plenty of other bands who were immense popular a decade ago.

Check these guys out at As a matter of fact it’s impossible to rate this one, because I miss the biggest part of the album.
